Analyzing knowledge sharing behaviors in virtual teams: Practical evidence from digitalized workplaces

Software development is an intensely knowledge-intensive industry that demands collaboration on behalf of everyone who participates in the process. Moreover, successful accomplishment process depends knowledge sharing and acquisition among stakeholders. For this reason, organizations must understand how knowledge-sharing unrolls employees. Nowadays, geographical distance unavoidable, so researchers consider subjective distance. This study provides analysis behavior within employees software roles virtual teams, namely functional technical, having mind. A research model based a literature review was proposed to different dimensions sharing. Afterward, empirically tested data collected organization with expertise ERP through implementation questionnaire. The method used analyze PLS-SEM. Results suggest individuals share mainly fulfill intrinsic needs; however, organizational culture also plays essential role results are fundamental for both academics practitioners acknowledge occurs and, consequently, help decision-making processes regarding Knowledge Management companies.
